How to Reset the Belkin Router?

Method 1: Belkin Router Reset using a Button

  2. Locate the reset button and press it. 
  3. Make sure you hold the reset button for good 15 seconds and then release it. 
  4. After that, your wireless router will take a few minutes to revert to the factory default settings. 
  5. Once the router reboots, it means the new settings are applied to your router.

Method 2: Reset Belkin Router via the Web Browser

This process is performed on your computer. Firstly, ensure that your PC is connected to the router’s network. After that, follow the steps outlined below;

  1. Open a web browser on your PC and type the Belkin router IP address. 
  2. Type 192.168.2.1 in the address bar and press Enter. 
  3. The browser will direct you to the router’s web-based setup page. 
  4. Click Login and then enter the Belkin router login credentials. 
  5. Once you are logged into the router, you will see the web management page.
  6. Thereafter, click Restore Factory Defaults under Utilities. 
  7. After that, click Restore Defaults and the power LED of the router will blink for a few seconds. 
  8. Finally, the Belkin router reset process will be initiated. It will take a few minutes for your router to restore the factory default settings on your device. 

NOTE: For the second method, make sure you know the login credentials of your wireless router. The login credentials include the username and password of your router.
